The PLATFORM WARS project looks at how platform corporations affect the way force is used and the wider rules that govern this. To answer this question, we must understand how platform companies influence practices and regulations in warfare.
The 'launch' event gathers experts on this topic. For a day and a half, we will bring a group of scholars together at the University of Antwerp to discuss some of the challenges of the project. We have organised a series of panels with two speakers each. These panels focus on key concepts for the PLATFORM WARS research project, including platforms, warfare, markets, data, infrastructure and violence.
